Seeking experienced Registered Nurse for a Coronary Care Unit

Shift: Nights (7p-7a)

Position Summary: The Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) was the first specialty unit at this Hospital.  The CCU provides care for patients between the adolescent and geriatric developmental stages - care is primarily focused on critically ill patients.

  • Coordinates and directs the delivery of nursing care for the Medical-Surgical unit at times when critical care has no patients in order to provide ready in-house access to staffing for critical care admissions
  • Provides direct clinical care for critically ill adult patients according to established protocols and utilizes evidence-based clinical practices standards under the supervision of the critical care supervising physician
  • Asses patient for change in status and institute appropriate emergency interventions to stabilize patient
  • Implements treatment plan for acute illness in collaboration with designated primary supervising physician

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of recent CCU RN in acute care hospital setting required
  • ACLS Certification - within 6 months from hire date
  • BLS Required
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of GA
  • ASN Required, BSN preferred
