Echo/Vascular Technologist

Candidates must be registered in Vascular (RVT or RVS). Due to the CMS requirements for payment in NM the technologist performing the study on Medicare patients must be registered.

In addition to the above, candidates must have experience in echo with either a registry in echo or plans to obtain their echo registry.  

Job Description: Performs diagnostic echocardiographic and vascular ultrasound procedures as prescribed by physicians under the direction of a Cardiologist and/or Vascular Surgeon.

Education: Graduate of an approved school of ultrasonography in echocardiography or non-invasive vascular ultrasound imaging. Is either registered or registry eligible through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or  through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)

Experience: 2 years experience in echo and vascular ultrasound strongly preferred.

Licenses/Certificates: Must be able to obtain RCS or RDCS within 9 months of hire as a condition of employment.
