NEW OPENING for an Ophthalmic Technician II located in the Heart of Boston. The ideal candidate for this position has at least 2 years of experience in supervised setting as an Ophthalmic Technician.

Under general supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, this position follows established professional standards and procedures, helps facilitate patient flow and performs a variety of screening and technical diagnostic tests including manual lensometry and manual keratometry. Assists with patient contact lens removal/ insertion and instilling eye drops as directed by physician.
Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent PLUS experience in an ophthalmic or healthcare related setting. • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. • Completion of ophthalmic, optometric, or medical assistant training program and/or AAO Home Study Course preferred. • Current CPR certification preferred. • Certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant in good standing or at least two years in an ophthalmic practice preferred.
