We are seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedic Surgery team. The job functions of this position include surgical assists in the OR for orthopedic patients, rounding on orthopedic patients in the hospital, and performing evaluations and follow-up care in our outpatient clinic. Evaluates trauma patients across the continuum of care, beginning with the admission phase and through discharge. Coordinates with Trauma Team regarding assessment, including performing and dictating H&P and writing orders. Collaborates with case managers, staff nurses, and other members of the trauma team on plan of care for patients. Initiates and follows up on diagnostic evaluation and testing and communicates results with Orthopedic Surgeons.

Education: Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
License / Certification: Physician Assistant (PA-C) certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners (OBME) required. Must obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges this includes but is not limited to, holding position-specific certifications/memberships as determined by Asante Medical Staff team (i.e. ACLS, BLS, PALS, etc.); Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs; Provider shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in orthopedics, general surgery, critical care, or emergency medicine is required.
