Experienced RN needed in Texas - Lung Rescue ICU 

Still hiring during COVID-19

Shift: Full-time Days (rotating weekends)

With over 1,000 licensed beds, this Hospital system offers a broad range of specialties including cardiology, cancer care, bone marrow transplants, emergency medicine, neurosciences, maternity care, gynecology and orthopedics. They havebeen nationally recognized by Leapfrog’s Hospital Safety Grade A, accredited by the Joint Commission in stroke care, and designated as an accredited Chest Pain Center. Our expert provider and physician teams focus primarily on the treatment of lung cancer, pulmonary hypertension and interstitial lung disease. Specialists at the Lung Center also manage abnormal computed tomography (CT) scans and minimize diagnosis time, offering early detection and treatment options that may not otherwise be available.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Consistently applying the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients
  • Collaborating with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes
  • Communication, confidence, and professionalism as evidenced by active engagement in unit and organizational activities
  • Demonstrating team work, adaptability, and serving as a resource to the patient care team
  • Accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and promoting a positive image of nursing

 

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited associates, or baccalaureate degree nursing program (BSN strongly preferred)
  • Current RN License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
  • Minimum 2 years Experience 

 

The services provided through the Lung Center include:

  • Chest X-ray
  • Computed Tomography (CT)
  • Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)
  • Medical Thoracoscopy
  • Navigational Bronchoscopy: several types of navigational bronchoscopy include Diagnostic Bronchoscopy (Lung Biopsy and Endobronchial Ultrasound [EBUS]), Therapeutic Bronchoscopy and Robotic Bronchoscopy
