I have a great client actively hiring a full-time, permanent Cytotechnologist in Easley, South Carolina. Here is more information:
About the lab:
- Comprehensive pathology services company.
- Provides for hundreds of hospitals and physicians.
- CAP accredited
Responsibilities:
- Examine slides to detect cellular abnormalities and potential signs of disease.
- Record data and ensure proper documentation for accurate and efficient record-keeping.
- Communicate information/issues to the supervisor/manager to ensure smooth laboratory operations and address concerns.
- Perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Assist and maintain QA/QC programs and monitors, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Must perform within productivity expectations as outlined in current departmental guidelines to ensure timely analysis and reporting.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cytotechnology or a related field.
- ASCP certification or equivalent
- Experience in Cytotechnology
- Strong knowledge of cellular anatomy, pathology, and diagnostic techniques.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and computer systems for data entry and analysis.
- Ability to perform detailed analysis while maintaining productivity in a fast-paced environment.
