Job Description
Well-established, 16-bed, critical access hospital is seeking a permanent, full-time Med Tech.
About the hospital
- Board certified physicians and highly trained advanced practice clinician
- Over 12 medical specialties available here at UCVH, including: Audiology, Cardiology, Ear-Nose-Throat-Allergy, General Surgery, Neurology, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Pulmonary Care, Sleep Medicine, Tele-Medicine Rheumatology and Urology
- Advanced and updated medical imaging (CT, Ultrasound, X-Ray, Bone Density Screening and MRI), laboratory services, O.R.’s and Endoscopy, Rehabilitation and Infusion Services
- Integrated electronic health record or EMR, MEDITECH, which is shared by our sister hospitals of North Country Healthcare, Androscoggin Valley Hospital and Weeks Medical Center, designed to improve information sharing and quality of care

Job Description
- Primary responsibilities involve the testing of body fluids and other specimen samples submitted to the Laboratory for analysis.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science or Associates degree that meets the academic requirements of the Board of Registry of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or fulfills the academic and experience components specified by recognized accrediting agencies
- Holds certification (AMT, ISC LT, HHS, or NCA in the Laboratory Technologist category: MT, C LT, CLS, MLS) or plans on becoming certified within a year of hire
- Basic computer literacy and experience with laboratory information systems are preferred.
- Good patient manners and possess the ability to effectively communicate with patients.
