MRI Technologist in Kentucky (Permanent Hire, Weekend Shift)
Job Description
Hiring a full-time, permanent MRI Technologist to join a team in Louisville, Kentucky!
Schedule: Friday - Sunday, 12 hour shifts, day hours
The MRI Technologist operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain diagnostic images for physicians. They ensure patient safety and quality care by maintaining high magnetic field strength safety, preparing and administering contrast media in compliance with regulations, and obtaining patient history and screening forms. The role also involves explaining procedures to patients and addressing concerns, maintaining patient records, and performing quality assurance on MRI equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Perform procedures to meet Radiologist expectations and protocols
- Ensure compliance with National Patient Safety goals
- Support and report compliance issues
- Participate in quality assurance programs for safety and satisfaction
- Use standard precautions, including PPE
- Contribute to the efficient operation and resource management of the department.
Requirements:

Education:
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Additional training or certification in MRI technology may be required.

Certification and Licensure:
- Registered MRI Technologist (ARRT MRI) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
- State licensure may be required, depending on local regulations.

Experience:
- Previous experience as an MRI Technologist or in radiologic technology preferred.
