Job Description
Apply for this opportunity as an MT/MLT (Generalist) in Providence, Rhode Island! Position is full-time on the day shift for permanent hire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and prepare specimens for testing
- Perform basic laboratory tests (hematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, etc.)
- Operate laboratory equipment and perform routine maintenance
- Record test results and report findings to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Ensure laboratory procedures are followed according to standards and regulations
- Perform quality control checks and ensure accuracy of results
- Maintain laboratory inventory and ensure supplies are stocked
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
- ASCP certification (or equivalent certification like AMT or AAB) required
- Knowledge of laboratory testing methods and equipment
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards
