The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) OR Medical Technologist (MT/MLS/CLS) utilizes skills and training to perform test of samples of blood, urine and other body fluids to obtain information utilized in diagnosis and evaluation of patient medical status.

At least a Associates degree and completion of an accredited Medical Technology program OR the equivalent education and experience that qualifies for national registration through the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)
