Medical Technologist/Technician - ASCP Certified

Job Description
Position Overview: As a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician Generalist, you will play a vital role in our healthcare team by performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating diseases. You will work in a fast-paced environment utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and technology to provide accurate and timely results.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and complex laboratory tests on various biological specimens, including blood, urine, and body fluids, using automated equipment and manual techniques.
- Analyze test results and report findings accurately to healthcare providers in a timely manner.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure proper calibration and quality control measures are followed.
- Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
- Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay current with advancements in laboratory science and technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field for Medical Technologists; Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology for Medical Laboratory Technicians.
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from a recognized accrediting agency (e.g., ASCP, AMT) preferred.
- Previous experience working in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
