Microbiology, MLS/MT (Nights) in Long Island, NY

$38.00 to $55.00 per hour (depending on experience). Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.

Job Description

In this position, your schedule will be from 12:00am to 8:30am (nights), Monday through Friday.

This is a full-time position with eligibility for benefits.

As part of this role, your responsibilities will include:

Performing essential patient care processes involving moderate and high complexity testing
Analyzing, reviewing, and reporting testing results
Recognizing and implementing corrective actions as necessary
Working in a fast-paced laboratory setting with biological and chemical hazards
Promoting safety, compliance, and quality control

Requirements for this role:

Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology; OR Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Biological, or Physical Science with 1 year of Medical Technology training
1 year of laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing
Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent
NYS Laboratory Licensed.
Proficient reading, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to operate various laboratory equipment

Bonus qualifications include:

2+ years of laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing within a specialized area

Compensation for this role ranges from $38.00 to $55.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and potential geographic differentials.
