Part-Time MT/MLT Opening in Massachusetts

Apply for this opportunity as a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician in Randolph, Massachusetts. Position is part-time hours on the weekends during the evening shift.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Generalist to join our dynamic team. As a Laboratory Generalist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests, assisting in maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring quality control, and providing accurate and timely results. This role will involve working in a fast-paced environment where precision and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and complex laboratory tests across multiple disciplines (e.g., hematology, chemistry, microbiology, etc.).
- Prepare specimens, reagents, and equipment for analysis.
- Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated and functioning properly.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, laboratory protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Document all laboratory procedures, results, and maintenance activities.
- Participate in the implementation of quality control programs and maintain laboratory records.
- Communicate effectively with other laboratory staff, medical professionals, and other departments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or testing issues as needed.
- Assist with training of new laboratory staff as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Asscoiate’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Laboratory Technician (CLT) preferred (or eligibility for certification).
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle a high volume of tests.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
