Apply for this opportunity as a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician in Randolph, Massachusetts. Position is part-time hours on the weekends during the evening shift.

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Generalist to join our dynamic team. As a Laboratory Generalist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests, assisting in maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring quality control, and providing accurate and timely results. This role will involve working in a fast-paced environment where precision and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and complex laboratory tests across multiple disciplines (e.g., hematology, chemistry, microbiology, etc.).
  • Prepare specimens, reagents, and equipment for analysis.
  • Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated and functioning properly.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, laboratory protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Document all laboratory procedures, results, and maintenance activities.
  • Participate in the implementation of quality control programs and maintain laboratory records.
  • Communicate effectively with other laboratory staff, medical professionals, and other departments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or testing issues as needed.
  • Assist with training of new laboratory staff as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Asscoiate’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Laboratory Technician (CLT) preferred (or eligibility for certification).
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle a high volume of tests.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
