Job Summary: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Near Littleton, ME
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team near Littleton, ME. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients with varying respiratory conditions, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and monitor patients’ responses.
- Perform diagnostic tests, such as pulmonary function tests, and interpret results.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about respiratory therapy procedures and equipment usage.
- Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.
Schedule:
- Day shift: 7 AM - 7 PM
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Valid state licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of respiratory care protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in critical care or specialty areas such as pediatrics or neonatology.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
